Accessories guide: choosing and caring for your piece

A good accessory completes an outfit and shows your taste, but choosing and caring for it takes a little attention.

Choose by use: leather bracelets, beads and simple chains suit everyday wear, while sparkling pieces and sets suit occasions. For men there are leather bracelets, Cuban chains and steel rings; for women, necklaces, sets, rings and delicate bracelets.

Watch the size: for rings, ask about the size before ordering; for chains and bracelets, pick the right length and check that the clasp is sturdy.

Try a name necklace: a necklace with your name or a loved one’s in Arabic calligraphy is a personal gift, so check the spelling carefully before confirming.

For care: put accessories on after perfume and cosmetics, not before; wipe with a soft dry cloth after wearing; avoid water and chemicals; and store each piece in its own pouch or box so it does not get scratched.
